Eyelash Transplant |

Most of them are outdated procedures which often produce poor results . Also, eyelash procedures require a very highly skilled surgical team as well as the right instrumentation, right technique and an artistry approach. Using the wrong technique may not permit proper growth of new follicles, and in some cases injure the existing eyelashes. Eyelash Technique If some eyelashes are still present, we measure the diameter of the eyelashes to make an average hair density to be used. If eyelashes are no longer present, we use an average diameter calculation for normal eyelash density and evaluate donor hair to predict results. Harvesting hair from the scalp can be done in two ways, either with Stereoscopic Follicular Unit Strip or with Follicular Unit Extraction. Dr. Nader will evaluate which is the best procedure for your case. Local anesthesia is used to obtained the donor hair. We use a special technique where no pain or discomfort is felt during the procedure. The follicular units are then processed in special fourth generation stereoscopic microscopes to ensure proper direction and growth of each hair.
The density also varies with gender, as females often have an increased number of eyelashes than men. Furthermore, the number of eyelashes implanted varies with each case, but an average total of eyelashes transplanted ranges from 30 to 80 (about 35/eyelid during one session) where they eventually live and grow permanently. We always try to implant as much hairs as possible without compromising the skin of the eyelid or the existing or new hair follicles.
